German dream-punk band, SEASURFER, returns with 4-track EP "Headlights". Limited to 500 pieces of hand-numbered, transparent red vinyl. Originally only offered as a crowd funding item, 100 of the 500 are now available for sale by Saint Marie and Darla.

Songwriter and guitarist, Dirk Knight, created an instant classic with the Seasurfer debut album "dive in" along with singer, Dorian, from Berlin. With a new line-up and singer, Julia, from the German dream-pop band, Chandeen, Dirk wants to pursue his idea of an extremely noisy guitar sound combined with ethereal vocals that he loves so much. "Headlights" is indeed only an intermediate step and a quick test, and for the band it became a little too dream-pop and less noise-pop. The 4 songs on offer here capture a moment in time that follows more in the direction of the Cocteau Twins and Slowdive. This EP will soon be a sought-after collector's item for sure.

I bought Drowned in a Sea of Sound the day it was released, and it is one of my dearest possessions. I followed their blogspot and hung dearly onto any word, for all 10 years, afraid they'd never release another album. But here they are, as though they'd never left. The Daysleepers have the sonic beauty of Slowdive, the haze of Bloody Valentine, and the vocals of Airiel and Cocteau Twins, yet I prefer them over all the above. This album was well worth the wait.
